All pinnum users can enjoy deal-based offers from local businesses in the app’s “Around Me” list. Blue PINs and Buy Now PINs are positioned on the “Deals Map” that show current and nearby deals that have been created exclusively for pinnum users. In contrast to other apps, only businesses that are members of pinnum for Business will show their offerings. If there is a blue PIN, there is a deal!
NEW - A “Buy Now” button is now available to purchase the merchant offer right from your phone so you can save immediately!
NEW - A “Church” icon will denote a local church (multiple denominations may be represented).
While shopping or dining - Look for pinnum signs displaying the business “pinnum #”, then simply enter the 4-digit number on the “DEALS” page and take advantage of an awesome deal!
A practical use - The pinnum app is a geo-social app to safely engage and map friends, family and groups. Users are assigned a permanent pin number, a “pinnum!” Users can share their pinnum with another individual or a group of individuals in order to communicate and exchange information (i.e. pin me on pinnum #1234). The user may remain completely anonymous unless he or she chooses to disclose their data. Delivered with built-in location based GPS technology, pinnum users, at their discretion, may disclose their actual location (or not).
Having pinnum is similar to handing out your personal phone number, but with complete control over whom you communicate with, including the distribution of any and all contact information beyond your pinnum. Pinnum has built in two-party communications that may be established via standard text conversation (IM).
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. But pinnum has incorporated additional “Manage Battery” features that help the issue of decreasing battery life while remaining in the background continuously.
